The Boonville R-1 Board of Education is proud to announce that Kenya Fuemmeler has been named Boonville High School Principal effective July 1, following the retirement of Principal Tim Edwards.

Superintendent Dr. Sarah Marriott said, "The Boonville R-1 School District is excited for Ms. Kenya Fuemmeler to join our Pirate team.  Ms. Fuemmeler's experience, knowledge, and care for students and staff are evident in her work and words.  We truly look forward to what Ms. Fuemmeler will add to our district and Boonville High School.  Mr. Edwards has excelled in creating a family environment at Boonville High School in which students and staff are priorities.  We look forward to Ms. Fuemmeler continuing the strong traditions of excellence at Boonville High School and being a valued member of our team."

Ms. Fuemmeler holds experience in both public and Catholic education. She is currently in her 8th year as a principal and said that she “feels very grateful to have worked alongside talented administrators and teachers at each school along the way.” She currently serves as Helias High School Principal and President in Jefferson City, and is also currently the Interim Superintendent of Diocesan Schools.

Boonville High School is an exciting place for Ms. Fuemmeler to start a new chapter. She said, “The Boonville School District has a strong reputation for high academic standards while serving a wide variety of students. Boonville High School's commitment to both the academic achievement and extracurricular involvement of students make me excited to be a Pirate. I look forward to belonging to One Pirate Ship, One Pirate Family.”

Upon acceptance of her position, Ms. Fuemmeler said, “I would like to thank Dr. Marriott and the Boonville Board of Education for the opportunity to work alongside the teachers and staff of the high school to help ensure every student has an opportunity to reach their full potential."
