Ms. Kim Walker, Principal

Ms. Walker is a product of Pirate education, having grown up in Boonville and graduating from Boonville High School. She always knew that she wanted to have a career in working with children or athletics. She attended Moberly Area Community College and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, receiving a degree in Elementary Education. She earned her Master's in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University.

Elementary teaching is where began her career; she was a third-grade teacher and coached middle and high school girls' basketball in Hallsville. When raising her young sons, she worked as a Parents as Teachers Parent Educator. She then returned to the elementary classroom as a K-4 computer teacher. She then transitioned to administration as Assistant Principal of Eugene Field Elementary School for the past eight years.

What is Ms. Walker's favorite thing about elementary students? She said, "Their eagerness to learn and their acceptance of others. Building relationships with students is my favorite part of being a leader."
